Rebuilding Together of Washington, DC (formerly Christmas in April) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free home repairs for low-income elderly, disabled homeowners, and families with children. Every year we make it a priority to revitalize community centers serving disabled children. In addition, we specialize in making handicap modifications in homes, including installing grab bars, providing shower seats, expanding door ways to accommodate wheelchairs, etc. Our services are 100% and is supported by over 3,000 volunteers annually. Since 1983 we have repaired over 2,500 homes in Washington, DC.
